We Want Your Opinion!

Dear Friend, we shall be asking your opinion on several issues, ranging from the design and content of our website to your concerns and priorities regarding Northeast* Italy. Your responses will allow us to create a set of recommendations for the future of the organization and to decide which future activities and projects to undertake.

Your opinion is even more vital if you have lived and worked abroad.
This foreign experience has in fact given you the possibility of widening your horizons and gaining a better perception of what needs to be changed in the Venices*.
Please spend a few minutes of your time to fill in our anonymous surveys. Answer as many questions as possible, but ignore any questions you would rather not answer - we prefer in fact to receive a partially completed questionnaire rather than not receive it at all. If you have a dissenting opinion please let us know about it. We do welcome your comments whether or not you support our efforts.

  4.    Concerns and Priorities
If you currently live or work in Venetia* - or even if you are here just temporarily for holiday or business reasons - please spare a few minutes to answer this survey. It gives you the chance to tell us about your concerns and priorities regarding the Venices*. And how do you believe these issues should be tackled?

  5.    Comments and Suggestions
We welcome your comments and suggestions on any issue you deem important and which has not been considered in the other surveys.

The Ten Most Serious Problems in the Venices*
(currently available only in italian)

In the past months, a public survey was carried out amongst members and supporters of the Institute, and amongst the general public. The aim of the survey was to discover what issues the citizens of North-East* Italy consider most worrying and which ones they reckon to be the most serious.

Survey participants were given a list containing 51 issues which, in the opinion of the survey editors, are currently afflicting the Venices*. Each participant was asked to choose those ten issues (and ten only) which she/he wished the Regional Governments to place at the top of their work agenda.

"Inefficient judicial system" came top of the "winning list" of the ten most serious problems in the Venices*; this issue was chosen by 82% of the respondents. In second position we have"illegal immigration", which was chosen by 62% of the respondents. In third position, "unfair taxes" chosen by 55% of the respondents.

Giving a "weight" to the items in this list and taking values 1, 2 and 3 as indicating maximum importance, the issue "mancanza di educazione civica" (i.e. dwindling awareness of citizens' moral and ethical duties) gains first place in the "winning list".
This issue has in fact been given the highest number of "heavy votes". 60% of individuals who chose it, have in fact classified it as being of the utmost importance.

Thank you for taking the time to complete our surveys.

(*) For the purpose of the Institute's work, the words "Venices", "Venetia" and "Northeast Italy" are interchangeable, and are taken as meaning the historical Venices within Northern Italy - i.e. the current italian regions of Venezia Tridentina-Sud Tirol/Alto Adige, Venezia Euganea, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the current provinces of Bergamo, Brescia, Cremona (i.e Venezia Orobica), and Mantua.
